Palworld Passive Skill Inheritance Explained
How passive skill inheritance works in Palworld: how many passives a baby gets, plus a table of the odds for every parent setup.
Updated from the game data
A baby rolls how many passives to inherit from its parents, then the game may add random ones. Each parent passive is only counted once, so the size of the combined pool matters, not who carries it.
The table shows the chance per egg that the baby ends up with all the passives you want. Rows are the number of different passives across both parents; columns are how many of them you want.
| Parent pool | Want 1 | Want 2 | Want 3 | Want 4 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 passive | 100.0% | โ | โ | โ |
| 2 passives | 80.0% | 60.0% | โ | โ |
| 3 passives | 63.3% | 40.0% | 30.0% | โ |
| 4 passives | 50.0% | 25.0% | 15.0% | 10.00% |
| 5 passives | 40.0% | 15.0% | 6.00% | 2.00% |
| 6 passives | 33.3% | 10.0% | 3.00% | 0.67% |
| 7 passives | 28.6% | 7.14% | 1.71% | 0.29% |
