Palworld Inheritance Odds

How likely is a perfect baby? Enter the parents' passives and see the odds per egg.

Quick answer: In the community-tested model, a baby inherits passives from the combined pool of both parents. With four different passives in the pool, getting all four is about 10% per egg. These are estimates.

Frequently asked questions

How does passive inheritance work in Palworld?

In the community-tested model, the game rolls how many of the parents' passives the baby inherits, picks them from the combined pool of both parents, and may then add random passives. The Passive Skill Inheritance guide has the full odds table.

Why are the odds lower with more passives on the parents?

The baby picks from the combined pool, so each extra passive the parents carry is another one that can be chosen instead of the ones you want.

Are these odds exact?

No. The game does not publish them. The numbers come from PalCalc's community-tested mechanics and are estimates, so real results can differ.

Does this include mutations?

No. There is no official mutation chance, so mutations are left out rather than guessed. Community estimates are on the Mutations page.
